Hi TIG friends,
My birthday started with a very thoughtful card from my only daughter whom she made herself (she is an artist since 4 years old) and a note that say's she will be a good girl all the time.
This is my third year of commitment that i celebrated my birthday for a cause thru fundraising for the benefits of a certain school in answer to our calling on the LITERACY PROGRAM with the Rotary International and my club, the Rotary Club of Kalibo. So, in the morning, my club President joined me in the donation of one computer unit in the library project (product of my 2nd bday for a cause last year). Then i have received a good news from Sta. Barbara, California regarding the matching grant approved by their committee that will cost the project amounting to more than $15,000 to provide arts and crafts equipments to this school; then another good news that pledge for the medical equipments and medicines for our missionaries of charity; another for a remote hospital, all for my bday for a cause fundraising....isn't these great? I can't ask for more instead that God will continuosly bless my cause for the benefits of the kids in school and our community.
I have pledged to myself to return all the kindness God has bestowed on me and that the freinds HE gave me all my life who are supportive to my cause. I just pass this kindness forward to those who can also pass it on to the next generation.
After all the donations and spread the good news about the project...I treated my family and close friends to a pizza house which we ended a little late for me but enjoyed the rest of the day. Though my husband is already in heaven, i knw he is happy for me and for what i have achieved in so short of time since he left us one year and seven months now...I am enjoying my life and that my happiness is all in volunteerism and service above self.
Good day and once again, thanks for the greetings and the opportunity to share with you my day.
It was a fun-filled and blessed day. Praise God and cheers! (Megs is the one with the white rotary shirt - extreme right)
